Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick receives research donation from Medavie Blue Cross
Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick received a $75,000 donation from Medavie Blue Cross toward the Research Chair in Occupational Medicine, part of the Bold Ambitions: The Campaign for Dalhousie.
Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick’s $15 million Medical Research Campaign is closing in on its goal after receiving this donation from Medavie Blue Cross.
The $75,000 donation will be used for the New Brunswick based research chair in occupational medicine.
The research chair in occupational medicine will promote training, research, and development in workplace risk management and occupational medicine. Emphasis will be on workplace health and safety, and accident prevention. The chair will provide knowledge and advice for employers and physicians across New Brunswick.
Medavie Blue Cross contributes to a variety of health and wellness-related causes each year. Through its community involvement program, Building Healthy Communities, they support positive outcomes in the health and social welfare of people in the regions where employees and clients live and work. The program supports events and initiatives that fall under the categories of health support, social welfare, medical care and employee causes.
